Help! I’ve installed HeatMap Theme on an old WordPress version
Its a really good idea to keep your WordPress installation up to date, for security reasons, and also so you can use the latest WordPress Themes and Plugins which make use of the latest WordPress features.
Here’s how to get yourself up and running again…
- Connect to your web hosting account via FTP or through your web hosts file manager.
- Delete the folder on your server that contains HeatMap Theme. You will find it in the wp-content/themes folder, and it will either be called heatmaptheme or heatmap-adsense-theme depending on which version you are running.
- Your blog will now automatically revert back to the default WordPress theme and you should be able to log into your WordPress Admin.
- Upgrade you WordPress Installation.
- Reinstall HeatMap Theme as per the installation instructions.
Thats all there is to it
